Metallica...

Finally announced a gig date in Ireland for this Summer on the 20th August, in Marlay Park.

Metallica have a habit of attracting a lot of punters in Ireland. Throw in Tenacious D and Down, I figure this gig may sell out before the Summer comes. Pity too as the tickets are crazily overpriced at €75.00. Although I'm not really into them anymore, I was thinking the gig will make a perfect first metal concert for my little nephew. So I figure I may just round up the troops and head along. Bound to be a good bit of craic, Metallica usually put on a good show.

Also, apparently the new Metallica album is to be 'released' mid-Summer, so who knows.. we may get something more interesting and fresh than what has become usual run of the mill 'best of' setlist.
