And now for something completely different...
It's been a while since I've seen a sign amusing enough to be worthy to grace the pages of my 'extra' cool blog so I was delighted to see this in my local shop during my lunch hour.
Heheheh....

All Good Things Must Come To An End...
And of course by 'good things' I mean the Film Festival.
Where do I begin? So many awesome moments, times, conversations, stories... (mostly involving whiskey, any guesses why?) I mean wow, all I can say was I had a brilliant week. It was hectic, but totally worth it. Saw some great movies, met some cool people and most importantly had a great time. The new festival director came through in delivering a fantastic programme and overall, the week went very smoothly without a hitch so kudos to her, the volunteers and everyone else involved. It was great to have a 'buzz' around Dublin City for the duration of the festival. Personal highlighting movies include: 'There Will Be Blood', 'Happy-Go Lucky', 'Lars and The Real Girl', 'I'm A Cyborg'.. among many others.
I'd write reviews but I don't have the time unfortunately...
To sum it all up, I had an awesome time and will be definitely back to volunteer next year. Until then, my volunteer badge is stuck firmly to my wall... even if I hate my goofy smile in the picture

Quick Post
Just a quick update, up to my eyes with the festival but I'll be sure to update in more detail soon. (With reviews hopefully!)
Everything is running smoothly, some pretty high profile guests, seeing lots of amazing movies and meeting loads of new and awesome people too. In fact, I really need to start carrying around a notebook for names...
^_^
To top it all off, 'twas my birthday today. Been so busy I'd forgotten all about it.
Must say I love my friends, they're great.. in fact.. they're awesome.. or even amazingly awesome. They surprised me with phone texts, presents, hugs and song (yes, really - song!)
..really, where would I be without them?
Anyway now I must go do some differential calculus before bed. Yes...others read .. but I do math. (Not really, major maths tests tomorrow. It'd be good to do a bit of study.. somehow.)
I'll try to make another update during the week but the past two weeks have been pretty hectic. Having 'that' kind of time again... but I'm enjoying myself so that's all that matters I guess.
...oh and I must start preparing for China, less than 3 weeks now. Bringing over my camera, hoping to get some nice photographics (<< style="font-style: italic;">that cool.)
And I'm debating against self medical testing in DCU, an Irish university, this week.
Fucking hell.
Busy, busy.
That's me =P
*Grabs some more coffee, it's the only thing keeping me alive at the moment*

100th Post
Just realised this is my 100th post on this blog of mine.
*Celebration, party, dancing... etc etc* (You get the idea =P)
Never really did think I'd make it to a hundred posts, guess it's a testament to how much time I waste on my computer. I do hope somebody, somewhere enjoyed the rambling, the reviewing, the criticizing and of course me trying desperately (as always) to be funny...
Looking back over my posts, it's been an interesting few months and I sure hope the months to come are just as 'exciting'.
And so, my work for the Film Festival starts tomorrow so expect my next few posts to be focused around that. But until then...
Par-tay!
(...why balloons? Because it's my blog and I'll put as many gay looking balloons
as I like on it to celebrate my 100 posts of shite.)

Quote of the day:
How happy is the blameless Vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd.

Good Moods... aren't they great?
Despite the annoyance displayed in my last post, I'm in a surprsingly good mood right now. I should know, it's been a while since I've been in a not just good, but one of those rare 'great' moods!
Went on a trip to Belfast (a city up North of Ireland). First time I've been there and it certainly won't be my last! I had an awesome time. It's a nice city, very 'cosy'. Made it back too okay with a hitch, and apart from the exhaustion - I feel good. In fact, I'm apparently 'glowing'.
...at this stage I guess it's obvious so I'll come out with it... did I meet someone?
Maybe.
^_^
Let's just say the trip was just what I needed.
And for now?
...it's onwards and upwards soldier!

Valentine's Day...
Alright - guess it has to be done. The inevitable rant about Valentines Day.
Instead of making some horribly depressive post at around 8:30pm on Valentine's Day, I'm doing it now... it's just slightly less sad this way.
What can I say? It's such a terrible time of the year if you are single. And if you aren't, it's a stupid reason to run out and spending who knows how much money on a so called Valentine's Day 'Gift' for your significant other.
Why? - Because you don't want to feel like you're the only asshole that didn't get theirs a gift.
I want to know exactly who thought of this so called 'Valentine's Day'. Whoever or whatever you are, I do surely hope you are strung with piano wire. I mean.. what a great way to make single people feel like shit!
.. And of course, an excuse for Hallmark to sell a bunch of cheesy cards.
Well, I'll leave you with a photo of a gift/card shop I came across today:
OTT much?
/sigh
However, please note:
If there's any like minded anti-relationship/anti-love singletons looking for a non-consequential orgy on Valentines Day, contact me for an invite.
^_^

Well...
...According to Google Analytics, 5% of all visits to my blog have come through referral for a Google search of the word ''Spongebob Porn''.
5%?
All I can say is it's a strange world we live in..

Some artwork.. (click for full-size).

Here's the first relatively 'good' drawing I've done in my visual diary so far.
Only took me about 4 hours.
(Made it all cool and kinda Gothic Andy Warhol-ish in Photoshop too so you can see the different tones/textures etc)
Not bad, standby for more.

The Beatles' Song That Time Forgot...
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I'm crying.
Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come.
Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody Tuesday.
MAN, you been a naughty boy, you let your face grow long.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob
Mister City P'liceman sitting
Pretty little policemen in a row.
See how they fly like Lucy in the Sky, see how they run.
I'm crying.
I'm cry------------ing, I'm crying.
Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye.
Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess,
Boy, you been a naughty girl and you let your Knickers down.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob.
Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don't come, you get a tan from
Standing in the English rain.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob, goo goo goo g'joob.
Expert texpert choking smokers,
Don't you think the joker laughs at you? (ho ho ho, he he he, ha ha ha)
See how they smile like pigs in a sty, see how they snide.
I'm crying.
Semolina Pilchard, climbing up the Eiffel Tower.
Elementary penguin singing Hare Krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking Edgar Allan Poe.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob, goo goo goo g'joob, goo goo g'joob, goo goo goo g'joob, goo goo
(rhythmical speaking along with juba's).
Juba juba juba, juba, juba, juba, juba, juba, juba juba. Juba juba.....
(speaking)
--Repeat (eventually juba's will stop) and fade until end.--
during the fade out background vocals:
[Simultaneously:] 'Everybody smokes pot' and 'Oompa, oompa, stick it up your joompa' [jumper]
..well,
that was fucking trippy!

Art Porfolio, and so it begins...
Began my 'visual diary' today. Which is layman's terms is just a hardback sketchbook with ideas, designs, sketches etc.
I'm working towards a portfolio of art work for some art colleges around Dublin. Even if I'm not really too sure I want to go art college, I figure I may as well keep my options open. Besides.. it'll be fun!
So, if I'm feeling brave enough, I might post some of my better work here to brighten up the page. (Which is very well, bland at the moment... I keep meaning to come up with some funky design for it)
So, watch this space.
*begins drawing madly*
